Lothringer ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Let's Split It application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

We collect your name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form) when you register. We also store trip, expense, and companion data you enter while using the app.

Your information is used solely to operate the Let's Split It service — to authenticate you, display your trips and expenses, and facilitate expense splitting with companions.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your name may be visible to other users on trips you share with them.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting an administrator.
5. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Access to the service requires authentication via a secure token.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to store your authentication token. No tracking cookies are used.
7. Your Rights
